I awoke this morning to to the sound of my apartment building's sign screeching back and forth violently in the wind. It's usually windy in Center City, because all of the tall buildings form giant wind tunnels, but I did notice the wind had picked up a bit.

Instead of preparing for the hurricane, I spent my afternoon on the top floor of an old townhouse apartment building on Spruce across from the Kimmel Center. I was asked to act, rather than be behind the camera for a change. I agreed, because my character was shy and non-socialable. I figured that pretending to be awkward and antisocial would come naturally to me, especially since that sums up my grade school years perfectly. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Surprisingly I was told by two of the crew members that I appear naturally outgoing to them. When did I ever become outgoing? Baffled, I managed my part to Sydney's satisfaction.

A still from today's shoot. We filmed with the Canon 60D and 7D using the 50mm f1.4 lens and 20mm f2.8 lens. It was my first time seeing and using the 20mm f2.8 and it really makes me want to buy one.

This is Lilly, our little on set monster. She's a two month old maine coon kitten. She was just too cute today. She decided to eat Laura's hand in this photo while we were adjusting lights. :)

When it came time to go home, the rain had arrived in a drizzly mist that stained the streets in a cinematic glow. I love the glistening appearance of wet pavement, especially under lamplight.

I returned home to Sage, who per-usual darted out past the apartment door, and ran for the staircase. She's always curious about the two boxers that live above us.

I love Sage's pet-tag that I ordered for her on ETSY. She's finally accepting the use of a pet collar, which makes me very happy. If she ever ran out of the apartment and somehow got outside, I would feel much better with her having the pet collar on.

My baby loves the windowsills in my apartment and enjoys having the windows left open. I had to close them today once the winds became too strong. I'm now the proud mother of an upset kitten. :[
